What I seek in my work is not the object itself, but a meaningful relationship with it. A ceramic artwork embodies not only form or aesthetics, but also a subtle, personal message. These works exist to hold what is invisible yet essential: memories, experiences, the inner landscapes of a person.
Every work of mine is born as a quiet dialogue with a person. Material and feeling, experience and form meet within it. Ceramics becomes a medium that gives emotional memory a place – the memory that lives not in words, but in the senses.
Where does the meaning lie?
Home as a space of memories and inner state
The leitmotif of home in my work is not accidental. It arises from a universal, deeply human need: to have a place where one can be oneself. Home matters to a person not only as a physical structure, but as an inner state, a sign of safety, continuity and identity. That is why the symbol of home became one of the main inspirations of my creative path.
Home is a space where experiences accumulate, memories quietly layer, and a person's relationship with the world is formed. It becomes a container of meaning, where what was, what is, and what is yet to come come together.
The idea, the story and its weight
The story of every work begins with a person. And a person is always in the flow of events – experiences shape them, polish them, sometimes hurt them, but always make them grow. Memories are born of those events. They are like fragments of a mosaic: separate, yet together forming one whole picture of a life.
Memories are not only reflections of the past. They act on the present and quietly shape the future. They can give strength, become a point of departure, remind us who we are and who we want to be. That is why it matters to me that a ceramic work should be not only an aesthetically complete object, but also a form of meaning – one that can answer a personal story.
The symbolism of the house: more than the architecture of thought
The symbol of home has an individual, yet universally recognizable weight for each person. It is more than a building – it is a model of the inner world. Home protects, welcomes, allows us to stop. It becomes a space where a person can reconnect with themselves.
It is a place where values are born, where one experiences the first sense of security, where one learns to be. From one's parents' house to one's own, homes accompany one's entire life, changing forms but maintaining their meaning. They connect the past with the present and silently chart the course of the future.
Ceramic form as an allusion to dialogue
Out of these reflections came a ceramic little home with angel's wings. It is not a decorative object, but the form of a state of being. Here the little home becomes an image of inner space, and the wings a symbol of protection, hope and lightness. They speak of a safety that is invisible, yet felt.
In these works home takes on an emotional and cultural meaning. It becomes not only a shelter, but a quiet force – one able to give things a place, to keep them, and to bring them back.
The emotional field of the work
For many of us, our parents' homes are our first experience of safety. They live on in our memories through smells, sounds, lights, and details. Sometimes, the tiniest fragment is enough to bring back a feeling – longing, peace, and gentle nostalgia.
These sensations are a journey into the inner world. That is why home becomes a storehouse of values, and ceramic artworks a way of returning to them. They let us touch our own story not only in thought, but through material, tangible form.
So these works speak not so much about the person, as about what matters to that person.
