Ramunė Burškaitienė
An interdisciplinary artist working across art jewelry and sculptural form
My work exists at the intersection of material, form, and memory. In my practice, porcelain miniatures, jewelry, and sculptural form become not only aesthetic objects but spaces of thought. I am drawn to the symbol as a carrier of experience, to the trace as a form of memory, and to the finished piece as the place where a person, a material, and a meaning meet.
I bring contemporary applied art into dialogue with philosophical self-reflection and an anthropological gaze. What matters to me is not the surface, but the layers of meaning legible in relief, fragment, form, and the material's own thoughtful response.

The sign that gives meaning to the work encodes two Lithuanian words – home and love.
basic creative material
One of the main creative materials – porcelain – is more than a material for me. By combining porcelain with precious metals, I seek a synthesis of archaic symbols and modern form in my works.
In 2023, I was granted a license from the Lithuanian Assay Office to work with precious metals and gemstones.

„In my work, I seek a balance between architectural aesthetics and inner harmony. It is important to me that art jewelry and small sculptures the work would not only be visually impressive, but would also carry a deeper meaning. The fields of philosophy, psychology and anthropology are important to me because they allow me to see more than just form in the work – to see the human condition, the symbol and the trace of experience.”
